A Seminar on Increasing Leadership Effectiveness
Co-Chairs: Helen Sharp, PhD and Jennifer Woerner, DMD, MD
Join Martin Lowery, leadership consultant and international speaker, as he returns to the ACPA to share techniques to optimize your leadership abilities within your practice group, your patients and their families. The seminar comprises two interactive educational sessions and a panel discussion.
The first session, Building a High Performance Team, will focus on navigating the complex arena of social engagement. Leaders must focus on not simply the work to be done, but also how the team does the work.
The second session, Power, Authority & Embracing Your Full Potential, will explore the dimensions of authority and personal power. Mr. Lowery will share approaches for gaining a deeper understanding of your work environment and its culture.
Take the first step to elevate your leadership skills and join us for this stimulating session.
- Gain an understanding of the importance of the attributes and best practices of high performing teams and be able to define eight aspects of “best-in-class” teams.
- Be able to evaluate your present team’s health and functionality and take home techniques to build and maintain your teams.
- Understand the difference between power and authority and be able to evaluate the relative extent of your own personal power and authority.
